Fees, Slippage, and Your LP Share
Understand trading fees, slippage, and your share of a pool.

Current fees and LP withdrawals
- Pool swap fee — 0.30% of the input amount. The fee is reflected in pool reserves. The share received by LPs follows the pool contract's rules and protocol-fee configuration.
- Meteopad service fee — network and deployment dependent. Where enabled, a one-time fee equivalent to US$5, paid in ETH, applies only when a previously nonexistent pair is created and its first liquidity is deposited in the same transaction. When creation fees are disabled, the Meteopad service fee is 0. Existing-pool additions, withdrawals and swaps have no Meteopad service fee.
- LP withdrawals. A withdrawal returns your share of the pool's assets, including principal and fees reflected in your position. Creating a pool does not grant its creator a special royalty.
Creation fees are configured independently for Mainnet and Testnet. Enabling them on Mainnet does not enable them on Testnet. Configuration alone does not establish transaction availability: preparation rechecks the contract, pause state, oracle data and selected network. The prepared transaction review shows the fee and maximum ETH payment before you sign.
The optional US$15 per pool per month Pro service is planned for a future release. Read [Economy](/economy) for the fee policy, token allocation, buyback conditions, and reporting commitments.
Three different settings
A. Slippage tolerance
Slippage is your tolerance for changes during execution. Choosing 0.5% does not set a trading fee and does not send that percentage to you or to Meteopad.
B. Pool swap fee
The standard pool swap fee is 0.30% of the input amount. It is included in the quote. A protocol fee if enabled can affect the share attributed to LPs.
C. Application and network costs
New-pool creation can incur the one-time ETH charge described above when enabled for your selected network. Adding liquidity to an existing pair, removing liquidity and swapping have no Meteopad service fee. Your wallet still pays ETH for transaction gas, including separate approvals. The wallet's final gas estimate can differ from the earlier preview.
How trading fees accumulate
For input amount Δx and swap fee rate f:
For a trade paying 100 tokens, the total pool swap fee is 0.3 tokens. The pool's fee rules determine its allocation. It is not automatically paid to the token creator or the person who created the pool.
Trading fees are reflected in pool reserves and in the assets represented by LP tokens. There is no separate fee balance or Claim Rewards action for an ordinary LP position in the current workspace.
Fees are not the same as profit
A pool can earn trading fees while your position loses value because token prices change. Gas costs and token behavior also affect your result.
Impermanent loss describes the difference between providing liquidity and simply holding the deposited assets. A profitable fee history does not guarantee a profitable position or a guaranteed exit.
